Just wrapped up a really fun custom carpentry job for Zena over in Jackson Heights this week — and I have to say, this one was a first for us!
We built a full cat walk system that wraps around a structural pillar between her kitchen and living area. That meant custom rope-wrapped posts, wooden bridge pieces with angled miter cuts, and landing platforms — all designed to follow the existing ceiling line and work around the cabinetry without a single bracket out of place.
The planning alone took some real care — every cut had to be precise so the whole thing sat flush and sturdy enough for, well, an enthusiastic cat to run laps on. Turned out great and the cats approved immediately.
If you have a custom carpentry project around the neighborhood — big or small — I'm happy to come take a look and give you a free estimate. We're local, licensed, and insured.
